Time for departure to Australia is beckoning. We leave for Brisbane in less than 15 hours. Bags are packed and almost ready to go. New life in Australia is now drawing closer.

After months and months of planning, it feels so strange that all our hopes and dreams are nearly now almost a reality and we will soon be on our way.

Hoping it will all go well.

Found the last few hours the scariest part ... the Oh my God what are we doing? ... but you'll be grand ... and it's nice and sunny with a little bit of rain forecast but much better than the Irish summer you've just left (like we did 2 years ago )

Greetings to all from a Singapore stopover -

Firstly, a big thanks for all the best wishes. We are just on a one night stopover in Singapore whilst on route to Brisbane.

It is nice to be finally underway after all the preparations. The goodbyes to family and friends were very tough. But we managed to get through it. Looking forward now to heading on to Brisbane though we will miss the A380 on the next leg (what a plane and what an airline - worldclass).

Flight is leaving shortly so bye for now. Keep you all posted.
