Cool Daylight in NZ

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it gets dark at 3pm like the UK in winter & for how long or do you not have going to work coming home in the dark like the UK?

Not as far as I know - I'll ask my sis - she lives out there - unless anyone else can oblige?

I do remember driving home from work in the dark and it must have been about 5.30pm last winter. Don't remember it being as early as in the UK. NZ latitude isn't as high. Flip side is though, that in the UK you can get the VERY late evenings in the summer which I remember very fondly!

according to the attached web link, it's around 9/9.30pm in peak of summer and around 5pm in peak of winter. plus some twilight time after that
