Re: Credit cards for non-residents
Ditto to plenty of others - Dagboy got a credit card with Commonwealth on a 457.
To add to the story slightly, the said credit card was up for renewal at end of June, he contacted them to see why he hadnt received our new cards & they asked him when his visa expired. As he has now gone onto a temp spouse visa (with no fixed expiry date aka at DIMIAs service) he told them that, to which they replied that the credit card would only have 6 months validity. However 2 days later our credit cards were cancelled as part of a precautionry step that the Commonwealth took in relation to that credit card scam & the new cards turned up yesterday with (you guessed it) a 3 year validity length.
No wonder Commonwealth still cant get our address right, they cant even get their own internal processes right .
