Default Cost of living (blah blah blah)

Simple one this

Where can I compare the costs of living between Auz and the UK

I am interested in things that Auz may have the the UK doesn't - education fees, medical fees, pillow taxes etc, and also things that we both do have - household bills, average food bils for family of 5 etc.

Also, is the IT industry really that bad over there? Some of the threads I have been reading have made me think twice about immigration if the IT industry is low!

Thanks for that - I didn't get the result I'd hope for!

To match my living standard as here in the UK I will have to earn about 75% of what I do here in GBP!

That meand for my £56K here I have to earn £41K in Auz, which is about $123 - am I using the page wrong, as this seems awfully high to me???!!

I would say this is correct, given the cost of living and much higher income tax rates. £56k is an excellent salary in the UK as is $120k in Australia - problem is that chances are you probably won't get that. Skilled workers are always going to be better off financially in Europer or Nth America than in Australia.
