Hi there
Does anyone know what the suburb Connolly is like ? Perhaps you live/lived there ? Does it have a good reputation ? We are looking at houses in this suburb and just wanting to know any of any pros or cons? We are a young family.
There is a reserve there too, have heard that you are more likely to see spiders and snakes? How often ate we talking ?
Is it an area that will hold it's house price ?
Any tips advice would be appreciated

Really, what you are asking is where we recommend you settle when you first get here, a question which has as many asnwers as there are members here.
I would recommend you wait until you get here to decide on a suburb or even north/south of the river. You need to get a feel for which areas are like where you come from or feel comfortable before you can decide where to
settle.
PM if you want more specific info

Connolly is an established suburb with good housing and a great Chinese restaurant. We rented there in 2005/06 and houses are generally on bigger land parcels and are not cheap.

Hi there, we've been living in Connolly now for 14 years and found it a really great suburb. Has a great primary school, which all our children are or have attended. 1 of them is in High School and there are plenty of them around here too. Within good distance to shopping centres, business park, rail-link, restaurants/cafes, etc. Spiders and snakes no more than anywhere else, plus there are kangaroos on the golf course. Yes, as with most other areas, the house prices are steady here. Connolly has a great reputation and there are lots of families here. We have 4 kids and love living here and everything you need is here or near us. If you require anymore help or fancy meeting up let us know. Take care and best of luck Ken, Carol Anne and kids.

I also live in Connolly and have done for over 4 years. My kids both attend the local primary school and I also work there. Fantastic suburb, close to everything and I would highly recommend. All I would say is that be careful where you buy because half the suburb is in catchment for Belridge SHS which doesn't enjoy the best of reputations. The other half of the suburb is in catchment for Ocean Reef SHS which since the arrival of a new principal a few years ago has a much better reputation and results.
Any questions just ask.
