Ditto what most others said really. It was absolutely brilliant, a fantastic game, if very very nerve-racking throughout! Wish I was in Sydney now for the celebrations....

And now for me being a total girlie - Jonny Wilkinson, fwoar!!! (much better than Becks with that rank long hair!)

But after tonight's game I have to say England played a blinder, and were deserved winners.
Congratulations England - the best game of rugby I have ever seen.

I've just returned from a few bars & federation square watching it with four proud welshmen - even they were cheering England - it was a great evening eh?

What a nail-biting end to the game- I nearly cried when the Aussies got that penalty a minute before full time. That ref was a hard bast&&d.

Anyway we still did it, it was like a dream when Jonny drop kicked that ball over at the end. The best game ever.

Love ya Jonnyxxxx

What a rollercoaster of a game. A classic final and I hope we do not have to wait 46 years for another World Cup trophy.

The incredible thing is the no of knock ons by England but they still kept turning the ball over. If the condtions were drier I think England would have wrapped up another try.

I will not be rubbing it in to the Aussies as being gracious is something that sets me apart from the average Aussie sports fan.

That game was brilliant with stunning play from both sides but England had the edge and god bless em!

The best rugby team in the world! What a feeling!

CONGRAGULATIONS ENGLAND! YOU ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Diana

ps why did the aussie commentators and newsreaders keep saying that the wet conditions were in Englands favour?

What a game. Our phone rang 3 times during the game and we couldn't hear it over the noise we were making.

I cried at the end (what's new there). First time I've wished to be Leicester to welcome Martin and the other Tiger players back.

Going to work on Monday might actually be quite a pleasant experience for a change!
