state teritory nominated independant
if your nominated occupation is on the victoria, south australia or tasmania's occupation shortage list then the state will nominate you for permanent residence visa in that area. it will only take about 4-6 months for the visa to go through, you then have to live in that area for 2 years minimum
if you are planning to go to these areas anyway it is a quicker and easier route in

I think ! (sure i'll be corrected if i'm wrong) It's for people on the state or territory most wanted skills list and the state or territory in question sponsors your application. It can speed up the app so is worth looking into if you don't have a sponsor.
