Hello Garry not sure about your visa but it,s pretty similar to mine (136 skilled) and mine is taking ages DIMIA are well behind. If you go to this website www.austimeline.com i think thats right. You will be able to see how others are doing waiting for the same visa.Just click on visa applications and do a search on your type of visa.

What a shame you did,nt hang on to you application for a couple of weeks. What with the changes after July 1st you would have had the visa by now.Any way we,ll all get there in the end eh.

good luck dave

Hi Gary, Sue & James,

Firstly, welcome to the site and prepare to get addicted.

The timings above are perfectly normal and you may or may not ever hear from the DIMIA for quite some time on occasions. However, if they have debited your card thats a good sign that at least your application got there !! Some don't at all !!

We did the same category as you last year at approx same time (ours went in at the end of July 03) and we eventually got our visa in April 04 - however we did do our meds and police checks without asking at the beginning of February 04 which seemed to accelerate the process - although this isn't alwasy the case so be careful to do some discussing before doing this. Besides you can only do this as well if you have a case number to at least cross reference your details to when you send them. We got an acknowledgement back for receipt of application by email within about 4 weeks so you might get one anyday.

Get used to the waiting otherwise its gnaws away at you.

Good luck and dreams do come true.

Warren
Perth and loving it.
