Has anyone tried opening an account with CB from the UK online?

Not sure about CB. Some of the family went to Perth last year and they used HSBC and they were able to sort out their money pretty well.

We've recently opened an account from the UK, it is quiet easy, if you look at that website stated here you should get all the information needed to open an account. I phoned them a few times and asked questions as I was not clear on a few things. They are really helpful.

However, If you make a transfer into the account you cannot take money out until you have activated it in person at the chosen branch in Australia.
