Default CNC Machinist - rates of pay

Hi. I'm working as a CNC Machinist since 2007. I have worked on Mazak machines mainly. I would like to ask what rates of pay are in Perth and Adelaide. I dont want accurate information but what can I expect in the beginning with 4 years of experience? I can program Mazak machines as well.

Hi mate

My Brother in Law is a CNC machinist. Don't know 100% what he gets, but working in Perth Afternoon shift (starts at 2.00pm) he gets around $80K basic and with overtime around $120K per year. There's been plenty of overtime as they make drill bits for the mines.

Thanks for info.
How many years of experience does your brother in Law has?

At least 20 years.

I just did a search on SEEK and 26 jobs came up. I suggest you call them all and have a chat, type of machines, rates of pay, hours etc etc.

Good luck
