I have not laughed so much in a long time :p (maybe its the wine  )

I dare say I wont be laughing though when I buy my new pegs only to discover they are mostly blue in the bag. AND instead of my washing being soaked in the scottish rain I will have a different set of washing problems!!

Will definately take our washing maching now though!!! :)

Heavens, I have never laughed as much through a thread in ages.

Thank you folks for your insights into the world of laundry.

Is there such a thing as a good toploader!!? :D

Lynn, we shipped our frontloader (relatively new) out with our stuff. Arrived yesterday with plug cut off (mysteriously). Put a oz plug on and started a wash. Tripped a switch and is now totally knackered. Just a warning. Not sure whether the plug was cut off because they knew it wouldn't work? Any way going to have to by a new one - think I will buy another frontloader after reading this thread!

Seeing as this thread has resurfaced......I bought a new washing machine a couple of weeks ago....

Its an LG top loader...but with NO central aggitator....Its like a front loader, only has the the top loader features of shorter cycle times and you can add that extra sock you always find when you have a front loader right after you start the machine...

It washes brilliantly and doesnt tangle up your clothes at all....

Can highly recommend it. I paid $800 for it.

I'm currently plotting that when we find a house that suits the MIL, and can finally move, the guys doing the move will "drop" the toploader off the van....such a shame, have to get a new machine then...... :D

Thats what i've got, but my clothes still come out just as sandy as they went in. They just dont chuck the clothes around enough to get them really clean (IMO anyway:))

I have reserched a front loader that lets you open the door mid cycle (DON'T ask me how, havn't seen one yet) It also has a half hour cycle. So i'm off for a peek at that!!
