Hubby and I are off to do ours this week, I need to do some homework, has anyone got the link to the free online website that you can test yourself on.......cheers

Don't worry about it it's easy. I did mine 2 weeks ago and spent exactly no time revising. The test took all of 3 minutes and I got 100%. Anyone with a pulse can pass the test. I heard someone having the interview now that sounded much harder. Glad all I had to do was pass a test.

just got our booklet, not a lot on the site only 5 questions.

Questions in book

1 in what year did federation take place
2 what date is australia day
3 who was the first PM of Australia
4 what is the first line of australias national anthem
5 what is the floral emblem of australia
6 what is the population of Australia
7 in what city is the Parliament House of Commonwealth Parliament located
8 who is the Queens represenative in Australia
9 How are Members of parliament chosen
10 who do members of parliament represent
11 after a federal election whoforms the new goverment
12 what are the colours on the Australian flag
13 who is the head of the Australian Government
14 Whatare the three levels of government in Australia
15 in what year did the european settlement of Australia start
16 serving on a jury, if required, is a responsibility of Australian citizienship true or false
17 in Australia, everyone is free to practise the religion of their choice, or practise no religion - true or false.
18 to be elected to the commonwealth parliament you must be an australian citizen true or false
19 as an australian citizen I have the right to register my baby born overseas as an Australian citizen true or false
20 Australian citizens aged 19 years and over are required to enrol on the electrol register true or false

These are some of the questions that could be asked according to the book

How did you get the test appointment but not get the booklet? I was sent one after making the appointment.

Shamefully, I disagree, I think revision is essential, I got 95% but would have had no idea about Ozzie cricketers (Bradman) and Banjo Patterson. I took the book on the bus and revised on the way there, the jorney was an hour long. I really dislike history so for me revision was essential. My 17 year old had the interview and it was VERY much harder.
Good luck, just remember it is quite hard to fail as you only need 60% to pass.

In Adelaide you don't have to make an appointment, hubby and I are going on wednesday, they are open until 1pm

I did the online test and got 16/20 first time !!!!!!!! a few were guesses...educated of course
I get 18-19 each time now
