Default Chopper

I bought an Aussie DVD called 'Chopper' in HMV for 2.99. Is it any good, or should I not bother. I'm babysitting tonight.

It is a very good film but make sure the kiddies do not see it. The film is violent in parts but very gritty and an insight into a very disturbed mind.

Chopper Reed is infamous. He caused some controversy by writing a childrens book called "Hooky the Cripple"

...and a little less controversy by killing a few people.

Watched this again the other night. It stars Eric Bana(naman) of The Hulk fame as Mark Brandon 'Chopper' Read, a vicious and (in)famous thug who has written a number of books and appears (menacingly) on the occasional talk show. Famed amongst other things for hacking his ears off - shown quite graphically in the movie.

Finally got round to watching this last night. Great movie, very gritty & real, didn't show Melbourne in a positive way. Hulk boy played the part really well. Can't believe Read is a celebrity, maybe tells you something about the Aussie way of thinking.
