Child Tax Credit - Until family join me
I’m (hopefully) leaving for Australia in the next month with my family due to follow at the end of the school year. Having tried but failed to get information form HM Customs and Revenue anonymously I wondered if anybody had any experience with child tax credit and where we are with claiming during the interim period.
My wife works part-time for a negligible amount of money and my taxable income will be zero in the UK and income in Australia about 60% of what I currently earn, on contract, in the UK .

I cannot see why you cannot claim to have 'separated', they dont need to know your business nor will you have to answer a million and one questions.
