Default Chermside

Hi, Just wondered if anyone has any thoughts on Chermside, Brisbane suburb?
Possibility of a job there, and wondered what the areas around there are like?
Would it be feasable to travel daily from the Sunshine Coast to work, or would that be a nightmare journey?
High schools around that area also?
Would appreciate any comments, thanks
Jackie and Justin

Southern end of the S coast to cherm on weekends can take as little as 45 mins, but weekdays depends when you leave, usually a good run till you hit the northern brisbane outer burbs, northlakes, mango hill etc then its bloody nightmare into the city. But chermsides 15 klm or so before the city so you miss a big chunk of the nightmare. Quite possible really, if your prepared to leave early, people are on the road at 5 am by 7 its mad. 2 of our family last year commuted to the south side of bris most days, now that I would not recommend unless you have 2 hours each way to spare and 3 hours on friday afternoon to get back to the coast. Chermside is OK older suburb, but lots of new units etc as the shopping centre now is quite big, V modern.
