Check Insurance Certificate is in place before shipping
Just shipped our goods with a well known company, asked for insurance for the goods prior to leaving the UK. Assumed that the company had followed our instructions. But when we went to claim because items were damaged both during transit and by the removal company delivering them, we discovered that the insurance policy hadn't been actioned. Therefore we had none 
Checked and money has been taken out of our bank account in December 2009.
Company have now said that they will need to backdate policy, if that is at all possible! May end up out of pocket due to damage.

It is illegal to backdate cover. Anglo Pacific will have to pay out of their own pockets.
