Cheap as !
Retired guy in perth just rang in to talk radio 6pr .
He gets half price rates etc and puts away A$ 30 a week , for such bills .
So double that for us nippers A$60 a week for water rates , council tax etc Not bad !

Thats what my council tax on its own is here , nevermind water , gas electric .

We pay slightly less for our rates than townwater counterparts, as we are on tankwater.
Speak to ANY aussie, and they all tellya townwater sucks lol !! so im quite happy with my tanks
all 100,000 gallons of them .. until they need filling in the drought.Steve

Our rates for this year were only $766 but that will go up next year or possibly sooner as its been quite a while since they last valued the house. I am guessing it should go up to around the $1000 for the year. As for water....we havent had a bill yet but it will probably be around $100 a quater here in Bendigo I have been told by my sister.
As for the other bills....that will push it up quite a bit. I wish our bills were only $1300 for the year!!!

my sister asked how much my rates were perthforum and I told her (cos she wanted her friend to come and live in UK) She told her friend and then asked me if I could find them out for London cos she wanted to live there, I did.
