character checks
I have been trying to find out about the criteria used for police checks to migrate to Oz. Would someone automatically be rejected if their police record was not clean or are cases judged individually? I received a caution for a public order offence which wil obviously show on any police check but no charges were brought against me. I need to know whether it would be worth my while applying for migration if I am to be rejected on these grounds. Would be grateful for any advice regarding this matter.

Re: character checks
I think from previous threads that you'll be ok, I seem to remember only custodial sentances are considered bad...
do a search on police checks, there was one recently about cocaine.
