Changing employers on a 457 Visa
I'm about to do this and the employer is going to sponsor me for PR. However, I understand if I resign on a 457 I have 28 days to leave the country.
Presumably PR will take some time to arrange, even ENS, so what happens in the transistion period?
Do I end with a bridging visa?
Does my current 457 visa get cancelled?
It's a bit worrying if so in the event that PR was not forthcoming for whatever reason would I be visa-less or can I keep my 457 whcih is due to expire in Sep 06.
In the event that the PR wasn't forthcoming , I reckon after 12 months with new employer I could more easily get PR based on the 2 year rule, with 1 year with sponsoring employer.
