Censorship, workplace dispute or something else?

Censorship, workplace dispute or something else?
Have a look at this article in today's Herald.
The broadcaster, the Labor MP and the off switch
Essentially a 'shock jock' style DJ has broadcast some allegations of corruption involving the NSW ALP, and then mysteriously his show is cancelled, and he is removed from the radio station by the police.
Maybe it is because of an internal discipline issue, but do you really ask the police to come and escort disgruntled employees from the workplace when that sort of thing happens? It all seems a little too convenient to me.
It makes you wonder exactly how free this country is, and highlights that a bill of rights outlining freedom of speech would be a very good idea...

Interesting...
The lack of a right to freedom of speach was something I did not know about
until a similar thread on here a few weeks ago.
A few news stories that I have read since then has given me thoughts about just how much the media is potentially 'censored'. This story from ABC has another side, on the TV last night, the 'victim' that the women was supposed to be attacking claimed that actually he had hold of her and that she did not go for police and that the knife was actually a normal table fork.

Strange, I can't see that the report has been corrected anywhere by ABC.

Careful...
discussion of this nature could result in BE being added to the list of australian government blacklisted sites!

'Ms Hay, who was named in a wiretap played to corruption hearings into Wollongong council earlier this year but was not named as a person of interest by the Independent Commission Against Corruption, is one of Vox FM's advertisers.'
(my emphasis)
... might have something to do with it.

I'd say it's already on it after the previous discussions about censorship and I think Anorexia was mentioned as well but we may have got away with that

Hmmm. The fact that Conroy won't publish the negative findings of the commission by the previous government doesn't bode well though. I feel that he has decided to make this his own personal crusade now, and is determined to push it through no matter what.
At least the greens and the coalition can see it for what it is - just have to hope that they can defeat the bill in the house.
