Default Cathy Pacific - good to fly with?

Does this airline allow you any extra baggage if you show them your permamnt visa like singapore airlines? Just looking into the cost of one way flights - and this airline seems to be the cheapest!

its cheapest because their luggage allowance is the lowest... I flew with them fine but sent 2 suitcases via personalporter.co.uk which was door to door... Cathy charge something ridiculous per kg over.
