When we checked 6 months ago there were certain things you could take on as well as your piece of hand luggage, like laptops, a coat bag, etc. I think that info was on the website when you check in.

Just checked the website and it says baby buggies must be check in as hold baggage. Does this mean that we don't get it back until we get to Brisbane? If so it won't even be worth taking it.........

Not sure but do CP not offer their own buggies for passenger use, Emirates do maybe CP do aswell.

Just a thought

Hi we flew with CP earlier this year and checked in a buggy, it wasnt part of the baggage allowance. THey dont give it back to you till you get to your destination though but they do provide you with one of their own CP buggies at the airports for stop overs. They allowed us 23kg per bag, and it was GBP35 for each kg over that, they are a bit more leanient as we were a couple of kgs over on each bag but they didnt charge us. Must say though IMO we found them really good and we pre-booked kids meals (2, 5, 6 years) which were really good. hope this helps.

There is no hard and fast rule on this.
My wife came with me into Australia after we got married and she was on Temp VISA but we explained and they allowed. They don't sit there and have a list of visa that allows 20 kgs and list which allows more...

I think if you walk up and tell them you are going for say 5 years they understand......

That's what I would do. I came here as a student and they did not object 40 kgs. My wife was okayed on temp visa...so...

All the best.

Yep defo, one of ours is a really fussy eater and even he ate it!!! The buggies are very basic that they give you but it does the job, you just cant load it up with loads of bags as it tips back, I learnt this one the hard way!! he he. Good luck

Had a bit of a shock yesterday, when i went to the ATM.
After calling my bank and a lengthy wait it appears Cathay Pacific have charged me twice for the same flight!! grrrrrr :curse:

Anyone else experinenced this? How do you think I should approach Cathy Pacific, complain and try to get free baggage increase?

Dom

Is this a validation trip or is it for good (cant read far enough back from the reply page lol) we are leaving for cairns 6th Jan may see you there
