Car insurance?
My pal is Scottish and has just bought a car here (Qld). He says he got it registered no probs but when he went today to get it insured he was told that he couldn't do it because he only has a Scottish Learners Licence and that he would have to get a Qld Learners (or full licence) before he could insure his car.
Is this correct? We're in Hickville, Qld so it might be that they have never SEEN a Scottish person before, let alone had to sort out car insurance for one and therefore mistaken? Anyone in Qld had this experience? Thanks!
