Hi guys,
Been offered a job in a company based in Canning Vale.
Never really thought of living near there yet, just wondered if anyone lived near here and what the area is like etc...
We have 2 young kids (6 & 4), what are the house prices like, schools etc...
Ideally we were going to head north of the river towards Jundaloop.
Any advice welcome
Regards,
Rob

We live near Burswood but family live in Canning Vale. Some new estates there with rather nice, but expensive houses. The area is still developing. There are worse places to live...and oh, I am going all the way to Joondalup on the 31st to have an MRI scan...they bulk bill (don't have to pay)...and I've always wanted to go to Joondalup for a look-see

Hi to all. We are a family with two children aged 8 and 6. We have been renting in Canning Vale since our emigration 3 months ago. We chose CV for logistical reasons - it is close to freeways and we have family north of river and can easy make it to them in 1/2 hour on weekends. You are less than 1/2 hour from city or fremantle out of rush hour (not tried the journey myself in Peak).
I have just taken a job in Kewdale (big industrial area) and it takes me less than 1/2 hour in rush hour - perfect when you compare to M25.
The layout of the estates are totally designed with the family in mind...good schools...loads of parks...houses 4x2 standard. I have aussie family that have visited us and have commented on the fact that people actually walk(!) around here. Loads of families walking/biking/jogging.
On the down side, property is pretty expensive though I think you may get more for your money here than some of the older northern suburbs.
Yes, it is definately living in "suburbia" but it meets our needs at present and sure beats living on a main road in Surrey!
p.s. was born in Crosby but family emigrated to Oz when I was 4 years old so sorta scouse by birth!
