Default Can anyone tell me how many cu ft in a 20' ft container?

Hi all,

Just wanted to know the answer to the above question as am getting quotes from shippers at the moment and it feels like I am being ripped off!!

One has quoted me £2645 for 500 cu ft (shared container)
Another has quoted £2662 for 470 cu ft.

I know the first company quote £3600 for a sole use container so to only have to pay £1000 less for the little that we have seems a tad steep.. If 500 cu ft is half a container then surely we should have to pay half the sole use cost.......

Any ideas would be great..

Emma

Hi Emma, We have just had our stuff packed up and gone last week. We had nearlly 500 cu ft and are using half a 20ft container (shared) We paid £1810 +£194 for the insurance with Allied Pickfords door to door. This is what we expected to pay. The service was excellent this end but will find out in 6-9 weeks time how good they were when we unpack in Perth.
Good Luck

Nicky
