Hi all,
Taking our tent out for the first time... Do Aussie powered sites (for tents not caravans) use 10A or 15 A plugs - are they just the normal house ones or speical fitting.
Basically do I just take my extension lead or is it more complicated?
Thanks
S.Dog.

Hi S.Dog!
We travelled for a few months in Australia last year (June - Sept) and used powered tent sites of a number of occations ...... Yeah, you just need the normal run of the mill aussie power cable / extension type thing! Nothing special!
Enjoy your travels!

A lot of the mixed caravan/camping places will have 15 amp plugs but your normal 10 amp household lead will fit into it.

I think techncally you are not supposed to just run a lead in to the tent as caravans/motor homes are equipped inside with proper overload and RCD circuits. However, nobody appears to bother. No worries....
