Is the campsite electrical hook-up system in Australia the same as the UK?
Do Australia use the 16A commando socket?
Thanks in advance.

most common that ive seen on campsites is a 10amp ip65 socket outlet which a normal 10amp plug will go into
i suggest you make up a couple of leads with 10amp au plug and 16 amp commando for your caravan ( i`m assumimng thats what its for )

Cheers for the reply Steve.
I am just going through my camping gear, deciding what to sell and what to ship to Oz.
Earlier today I was looking at my electrical hookup and deciding what to do with it. I think it's going in the "To Sell" box.
Thanks
Dave

I'm ignorant about how much it would cost to get adaptors if you do need to change, but if you have a shipment coming anyway, I'd say bring it - it's the cost of the little things like that that really add up and they're balls expensive. Plus the camping here is epic!
