Has anybody had experience in buying a motorcycle in one state, and shipping it to another ?

I am looking at possibly buying a bike on the gold coast, and shipping it to Victoria.

I know its a bloody long way, but it makes a good excuse for a road trip

Does anybody know the ins and outs ?

I have tried looking on vic roads etc, but had no joy.

Is it worth looking into ?

Your biggest issue maybe getting insurance as the bike is registered in a different state to your address. You will need to check with yourinsurance company if they will give you a cover note until you get the bike registered in Vic.
