Sounds like that MrBundy of yours should be providing some TLC.... or you could always try wrestling the washing machine for some therapy value !

Mr B has a hard time dealing with it all - he lost his mum when he was 10 and there are lots of unresolved issues there. Basically, he has trouble coping with illness and death (his life has been a litany of family deaths, poor boy) and that makes it hard for him to look after me, because it brings back painful memories for him. But we get there, and he does his very best.

Washing machine, touch wood, is on its best behaviour at the moment. Still got to fix the microwave and video though

Good luck to everyone doing the race for life!!

I did it shortly after my cancer treatment finished in Leeds and was amazed at how many people were there. I think there was something like 3,000 ladies doing it just at Roundhay Park alone.

So pleased to hear bundymum is doing well, big hugs from the Williams gang!! And Bundy, think about taking some "you" time off work....my hubby really needed it once the treatment was over and he had time to digest everything that had happened.

As for me, I needed to get some distance between me and "it", I've only just started dealing with my emotions from then, it was too raw and too shocking to deal with any earlier.

You will all come through it, just give yourselves plenty of time.

love sophia xxx

I'm sorry Bundy....I'm not normally aggressive.....but I'm with Go Banana's on this one. Can I slap your boss too

It never fails to amaze me that some people are so insensitive. Your comment about your boss i.e "mum didn't die, therefore I deserve no special treatment"...this really touched a nerve. I'm not normally an emotional person but it doesn't take a genius to work out how broken you must have felt / must be feeling

Me thinks you deserve a break...you need to be selfish girlfriend......perhaps get that sick note from the Doctor and take some rest [I don't normally advocate time off but there are times it's needed...you must be emotionally drained].

Fingers crossed mum goes from strength to strength, dad gets job in museum and Bundy gets visa ..........and is able to drink loadsa bundy...........happy ever after

Loadsa best wishes to you, your mum and dad.....and not forgetting Larissa and others in similar position

Well done Bundymum and Bundydad for doing so well with it all.

Sounds like your Mum is giving that cancer what for - that's what we like to see!

And TAKE A HOLIDAY Bundster - even a nice long weekend somewhere lovely and away from it all will help - or do something daft and crazy like go to Alton Towers for a couple of days - be a carefree kid again for a bit - it sounds like you need to shrug everything off your shoulders for a bit and have a bit of fun.

You could always come and see me for a couple of days!

Oh, can I join the slapping Bundy's Boss party please? (beats Tupperware any day )

Glad to hear things are going well for your Mum Bundy. Not surprised its hitting you now as it sounded like you were being the family rock through the bad bits, it has to come out eventually.
Also sending a big sharp cyber slap to AW

All this talk of BundyMum must have talked it up - finally got her radiotherapy appointment yesterday! So I will be taking time off work, but only to go back to Jersey to house-and-cat-sit while my mum is in Southampton, and help her when she goes home. End of May - 3 months after her diagnosis.

I like the boss-slapping idea. Sadly, I need my job for another year, so better not do it quite yet!

Can't believe how together you are after such a stressful time. Make sure you get some time for yourself- even if it's just a glass of wine (or bundy!) in a bubbly bath with lots of candles and a box of Ferrero Rocher! (works for me every time)
Hope your mum's radiotherapy goes well and you can all put this horrible time behind you.
Speak to you soon
Yvonne xxx
P.S. As for your boss, I'm a great believer in what goes around comes around....

Thanks Yvonne, together on the outside, somewhat messy on the inside, I suspect.

If what goes around comes around, my boss is going to end up with one hell of a miserable life!!!

I wish I could do some chilling. Sadly, my boss (yes, AW, Anya) is now of the belief that it is all over and done with, panic over etc etc, and therefore 100% unsympathetic to my moments of misery. I think I should probably have signed myself off for a weeks leave or something, just to get my head together, but this wasn't allowed as I had so much to catch up with on my return to work. So I've been having to deal with things in the evenings and weekends and not bring it to work

I did talk to my GP about it when I was in for hayfever drugs and she said she would sign me off work if I felt I needed it. I don't really, I just need a bit of space and a bit of well, sympathy, I suppose.

To be blunt, in my boss's view, my mum didn't die, therefore I deserve no special treatment.
Poor you - you must be *so* stressed...

What a ***COW*** - Anne W I mean. Think boss-slapping's too good for her. Must think up some really cruel & unusual punishment for her. How about:

- locking her in a room with loads of assorted Aussie spiders/snakes
- force feeding her with Pot Noodles
- putting laxatives in her coffee, then hiding all the bathroom tissue (YAY! like that one)
- setting her up for a date with some really awful sweaty smelly man
- spreading a rumor that she's having an affair with some really awful man you work with.

Go on, Bundy you must be able to think of some better ones....

Actually, I begin to wonder if we insult Anne Widdecombe here; tho' she's a bit weird, she seems like quite a caring - if misguided - person (despite being a Tory!) by comparison.

Give my love to Bundy Mom, btw. Good to hear she's up on her Jimmy Choos!

Anya

Glad to hear all's going well Bundy!
Look after yourself

And good luck to bundymum with the radiotherapy!

And I'll join in with the slapping.
