Default Brit vegas

An article from the BBC on why Brits flock to Brisbane. The reader comments at the bottom of the piece are interesting also.

Nice picture of Brisbane's Beach in that article

It also says:
Brisbane: Australia's third largest city - population 1.6m
And I am one of that 1.6m

Default BBC: Why is Brisbane attracting so many Brits?

Australia is once again the destination of choice for Britons starting a new life abroad. But instead of the better-known Sydney or Melbourne, record numbers are heading to Brisbane. Why?

I've been to Blackpool, and I think I would be slightly offended if I was from the Gold Coast..but then I would be hard pressed to decide who comes first in ick-tackyness.

I'm surprised no-one offered to say Brisneyland as another ironic name for the place.

No mention of poor little Adelaide or Canberra.
