Default Brisbane Weather

It was a bit warm this weekend, I see it says 29C was the max for Brisbane, my backyard was just under that in the shade at about 4PM. Nighttime temp was just under 15C - I think summer is on its way again.

Just the right weather for an afternoon beer session in the sun. I am certainly paying for it at work today tho.

Anyone make Regattafest and manage to get a beer from the bar?

We had it very easy last year, mildest suummer I have seen yet. I am a bit worried about this one tho, 29 degrees, 5 days into spring, remember an argument on here with some claiming 29 is as hot as it gets here, umm wonder why I said cra*.

I can handle the days being hot, the bit I dont like is the way once you get to Dec etc it stays hot day and night. Wish it could be winter all year round here and then I would brag about the weather.

It's not hot today though. Lovely and breezy.

I have noticed though, before Sunday's temp of 29.. for the past two weeks it has been very slowly getting warmer. I haven't worn a jumper for a while. Summer is definitely coming. October can be a warm one.. some years October has been boiling.. summer come early, perhaps we are in for an early summer this year.

cheers

Well it's cold and wet in Perth today, a chilly 16C. Please send some of that nice warm sunshine over!

Recent 3 month outlook from BOM suggests a warmer than long term average spring/summer, they base this on Indian and Pacific ocean temperatures:

No, but sailed past around 1 o'clock on my Father's Day cruise on the Kookaburra Queens, just as they were putting the ducks back into the sacks.

I don't worry about this sort of report - last spring they predicted a warmer summer than normal, but instead we (in SE QLD) got a cooler summer than usual.

Warmer than average summer in east/north Australia 2002/2003

We'll just have to wait and see.
