Default Brisbane Short Term Rentals - Any reccomendations?

Hi folks,

Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for short term lets? Was thinking it would be a good idea to book 4 weeks in a holiday let so that we'll have somewhere to sleep and eat while we wait for the container to arrive.

I've had a look at Mrs D's and it seems fine. Anyone got any other ideas/suggestions.

Would appreciate it.

Cheers

Ginny

Would love to but with the kids in tow fancy'd a bit of luxury (well a house anyhow!).

Watch out for the lumpy beds!

Enjoy

My parents own an apartment in Crystal Bay - www.crystalbay.com.au that they rent out on short lets.
It is a 1+1 so sleeps up to 2 adults & 2 kids.

Ginny here are some of the other places that I suggest when we are fully booked & people enquire.....

www.brisbanebound.com - like our service, but pay for phone & internet & electricity

www.seqrents.com.au - look at the short term rental part, most are apartments close to the city but not as suitable for families as say a house

www.gatewayvillage.com.au - cabins available from around $700/week for 2 adults (extra for any children staying)

http://www.brisbaneholiday.com.au/ - cabins available from around $650/week for 2 adults + 2 children

(friends have stayed in the cabins & whilst adequate for a couple of nights, they found them extremely confining after a week)

The other place I can suggest is Pelicans Nestle Inn which is right on the waterfront at Wynnum, they have 1 & 2 bedroom apartments. They dont have a website, but their contact details are Pelicans Nestle Inn , 145 The Esplanade , WYNNUM QLD 4178 Ph + 617 3396 3214. I believe they are around $800-900/week.

Hope those help.

I'll PM you the details of the guy who looked after us. The place we stayed at was only 1 bedroom so probably no good for you but he has 4 or 5 places. Our rent included use of a car, cable telly and internet too

We are family of 2 adults 3 kids and can recommend brisbane bound and pelicans inn wynnum, we stayed in both for a short time when we first came to Brissie. Brisbane bound have nice houses but most suited to those thinking of being long term in brissie, pelicans inn good if you want to be bayside, cost us 120$ a night but we are now on the GC so try and decide where u think you will be in the long term.
we didn't think like this when we came but we could have saved ourselves a lot of time and money if we had. If you are not sure just book a short time in case you decide to live somewhere else

Cheers for the reply.

We're going to be based, employment wise at Nathan so in and around there would be nice but there's a few other factors that we need to consider. Daughter has High Functioning Autism so need a school that can accomodate and Hubby's a dialysis nurse so hospitals would be good. Having to use a shard container so belongings won't get here straight away. Hence the reason we want holiday accomodation for a few weeks.
We're not a fussy lot, honest!

Cheers
