Can anybody recommend a good 'English' pub in Brissie (not Irish) where my wife and I can watch the world cup final?

Where is the Brissie barmy army going?

Don't know if this helps, but we are going to South Bank to watch the final. They have a big screen set up with beer tent etc etc. Checked it out the other day to make sure and it looks like a pretty good venue. We will be there in our "England Shirts".

i watched the semi in the elephant and wheelbarrow in the valley. watched england v turkey at football in the pig and whistle on the riverside (much better than going to the mall one). watched the football world cup in the pig and whistle at indooroopilly.

however, for the final i'm off to the paddo to mix it up with the aussies. i think it'll be better watching in a pub with the aussies so i can laugh lots when we win

Pig and whistle looks good, but I think there will be a great atmoshpere at South Bank where we will prob go. Lets just hope England win ... BTW did andone watch that program called the cream just after the England v France match?? they really took a dig at our team! (i must admit they were slightly funny!)

The Plough on South Bank is a good pub with a great atmosphere!!
