Brisbane City Council Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony

Brisbane City Council Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony
I am completely unable to ascertain if we can expect to receive an invite the Brisbane Council Australia Day (26th January) Citizenship Ceremony.
Brisbane Council have told me that they are the only council that do NOT deal with personal callers re: the ceremony and that I need to call the Department of Immigration. Subsequently, the Department of Immigration told me that they requested the council for a citizenship letter at the end of August (we were approved mid-August) and that I need to contact the council.
Has anyone in the Brisbane Council area received their invite yet and if so, how long after being approved? This way I can deduce whether or not we can expect to be at the Australia day ceremony? It takes an age.
Cheers.

Call this number, quote your ref number and the nice lady at DIAC who is organising it will tell you:
07 3136 7310
I spoke to her last week, I'll be there (was approved in Sept so you should defo be in). She said they would start mailing out details from this week.

I was given a direct dial number by DIAC, the council do not organise the attendees.
