Brisbane anyone?
Hey Everyone,
I'm going to Brisbane on business next week for two weeks and it's my first time there. Anyone got any ideas of what to see? What to do? Where to drink etc?
Also, anyone fancying a beer or few in Brisbane with a lonely Brit?
Cheers

I had a trip to Brisbane last week to validate visa.
South bank indeed was a great place with the man made beach and gardens. Museums and art galleries very close by too.
Botanic gardens and Roma Street Gardens are both very nice if you like gardens. (My kids didnt)
Check out www.ourbrisbane.com for loads of useful information about Brisbane and what to see...............

I keep mentioning it, but the PowerHouse Market at New Farm is lovely... specially if you like fab food, fresh from farms and specialist producers.. it's a very nice atmosphere too.

Another nice place [might be bit cutesey though] is Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Not expensive, lots to see e.g Koala's, kangaroos, reptiles etc and superb surroundings
Enjoy your two weeks

Absolutely.
I went to Lone Pine last Tuesday with my 13yr old and 10yr old and they are still talking about it now. We loved it there. And they loved having photo with Koala and feeding the Kangaroos....
My husband went there when he was 14, said that he saw the worlds only pure white Koala and dont laugh but he asked me if it was still there....
He is now 44....
You can take the 430 bus from the bus station under the Myer dept store at Queen street mal, or you can take a cruise boat from the North Quay....

My mum had a photo taken with one of the Koala's....and it shared the same name :scared:
