Hi there everyone out in the sunny land we all dream of, I was hoping to chat to people who have moved to Brisbane. How are you finding it, where are you and what ares can you recomend (I know nothing at all about Brissie). We have been told there is more work out there for my other half as a brickie that in perth which is where we were originally headed, so I need to gather as much info as possible as we need to decide where to head to in June - hope you can all help, you"ve not failed me yet, many thanks.

we found it useful, in deciding where to go.

Brisbane is just fantastic but I may be biased.

Seriously, it's a great place. If you are unsure then just pick a place. You will love it or hate it. Australia is so different from the UK that wherever you go will be fantastic or crap.

You can give yourself a head start by posting what you expect from where you settle in Aus. Lots of people will respond.

Although we are not living there yet, this is the place that we have decided to go. We went for a three week holiday last year and it was fantastic! We never looked elsewhere, (even though I imagine that there a plenty more places just as wonderful) as we have friends in Brisbane.
There are so many areas so we only looked at a few, so we will look at a lot more when we get there.
