Default Breaking lease early?

Any one had to break their lease early for any reason?
Any help much apreciated as to how we go about it or indeed if we can?

Presently signed up till 9th March but for one reason or another ( not entirely up to us!) we need to go sooner.

Am sure its going to cost us heaps in long term.......

You certainly can, though you are responsible for the rent on the property until the last day of the lease, or until the agent manages to find another tenant for the property.

My advice would be to keep the agent in the picture, and hopefully onside. If you have the agents co-operation then it's quite possible that they have another tenant on their waiting list who is looking for a property just like yours, this would minimise your loss.
