Mass cross-border generalisation: I find most people in general read only rubbish whether it's airport novels or whatever captures people. In fact, I find it quite hard to find a good book.

But I read rubbish too!

Anyway, back to the plot ... Angus And Robertson have failed to deliver my on-line order twice (having taken the cash) so add that to the mix ...
I ordered a book from Angus & Robertson in Gympie a few years ago, it had been banned by the British Govt. [at the time] & was unavailable here in Australia. They tracked down a copy for me in Scotland of all places, I prepaid the order. Six weeks later they rang me to say the book had arrived, I was standing just outside the shop when the called lol pure coincidence. Anyway I walked in & the guy came out of the stockroom with a large cardboard box bearing my name. He opened it with his little cutter & it was empty aside from those foam shapes No note from customs to say it had been confiscated, nothing.
They eventually sourced me a copy from NZ.
I lent it to Fluffy & he buggered of back to the U.K with it, importing banned books the naughty chap lol
No! It wasn't a porno, it was "Soldier Five" by "Kiwi" Mike Coburn, an interesting slant on the doomed Bravo Two Zero mission much hyped by Messrs McNab & Ryan.

We need more smilies, a tongue in cheek one for starters + an over your head one this one will suffice for now

I just recently ordered a book through Book Depository - the same book in Oz would have cost me $32.99, I got it for just over $19.00 with no postage and packing.

It did take nearly 3 weeks to arrive but may have been held up due to that damn volcano!

I order the annual school required novels from Bookdepository, it always saves money, even when the FX rate was at $2 to £1.
