Booked our flights..Perth bound!

Booked our flights..Perth bound!
Well we've done it! We booked our flights Heathrow to Perth with Emirates June 24th! Its really happening now! Its probably not how we originally planned it..our buyer let us down after 5 1/2 weeks so its left us in a position of starting again with the house sale. We've decided to leave it with the agents to sell and proceed with all the tentative plans we had made. The house rental..husbands work etc plus I'm pregnant so have a cut off date for flying in the summer anyway. It really does feel a big move but are optimistic and excited for all the adventures and experiences that lie ahead for us as a family.

Well Done and we wish you all the best in your new life.
Hopefully we will be out not long after you,still to sell the house yet but its looking good!

Hi thanks for the encouragement!
We are not planning a stop-over..just going through with a couple of hours at Dubai Airport..figure we'll relax more once we arrive in Perth. As for the estate agents..well Nick (my husband) is going to have to return to the UK periodically over the next few months as he still has business here...so maybe will see solicitors,estate agents etc then. I assume a lot of correspondance can be done via Email and phone. We have an account with HSBC which also has a branch in Perth..so hopefully finance transactions will be smooth!
Selling the house along with good-byes are definitely for us the most stressful part of this whole process!! Fingers crossed it will sell soon.

Emirates are a very good airline, I bet you can't wait.

Good Luck, we have been here nearly a year and enjoying it. Hopefully by the time you sell the exchange rates will be in you favour as at the moment they are very low.

Used Emirates this year when we went, were great with us especially travelling with two year old.
We're off to Perth too, whereabouts are you heading for?
