Yes you live once and i ke4p thinking well we came all the way here, surely going over there cant be as much as an uproot as going back to UK which is going to be even more costly and for what?? I cant think of why I'd wanna go back there now anyway.

Am I mad or stupid wanting to do this??? We have made some good friends here but something is missing I cant explain it, even though I only have one friend (bestest mate) there it feels more like the life I want, Perth is beautiful but IMO boring? if you see what I mean.....cant easily access things I knew it was isolated but never imagined it would be so much more expensive to fly interstate from anywhere else!! I wasnt nieve enough to not realise this, just didnt realise how expensive it would be and as work it hard to get into here its a big struggle for us and me (my minds mush as havent worked or found a job since being here, thats cos of kids and childcare so expensive)......

My brain aches today trying to think of what is best for all the family, youngest two are not worried just hubbie and teenage daughter........dont you wish sometimes you werent an adult and didnt have to make these kind of decisions!!!!

S orry to waffle on
Hi Kath,

I know exactly how you feel. We don't know anyone there and are not expecting it to be easy as we will have to start all over again (AAAGGGHHH the thought) but there is just something missing like you say that you cant put your finger on, we are happy with our new life down under and havent considered moving back to UK at all but we just want to be living in a dream place too. We will miss our new friends so much and talk to them about it all the time.

We found Perth very beautiful but too similar to Adelaide in that there didnt seem a lot to do. (our opinion) Everything was so spread out there too and as I dont drive we would have struggled there.

Have your talk tonight and I am sure you will make the right decision, its one of those things that no-one can really help you with. We feel guilty about uprooting the kids again but they dont seem to be bothered by it at all.

Let us know what you decide
Marie

As someone else mentioned, if you consider the return to the UK, but haven't tried another State, try that State first, otherwise you may end up coming back to try it !!!

I started in NSW, went back to UK, then came back to QLD

It's definitely quicker and cheaper going direct Sydney (or any Aus City) to Brisbane ( or any other Aus City)
