The visa questions aren't meant to annoy you. We are simply asking if your eligible for one, that doesn't mean applying for it... just a quick go through the website to find out if you have enough points and experience to qualify (plus charachter test & health). The reason we ask this is because there's almost no point in figuring out jos, child care, places to live, etc, if you can't get a visa. You'd be surprised at how many people come on here and spend a great deal of time researching these things only to find out that they can't get a visa. So a lot of wasted time and effort, not to mention the efforts of all the people who spent time trying to help them. The majority of posters on here are very helpful and will spend a lot of time trying to help others... it just gets frustrating when you spend a lot of time and energy answering questions only to find out the person couldn't have gotten a visa in the first place!
So.... this is why we usually suggest figuring out the visa first (not applying for it) just seeing if you can get one. Once you're pretty sure you're eligible then it makes sense to go through all the specifics of jobs, qualifications, childcare, schools, housing, etc.
Doing it the other way around (visas last) could mean a huge disappointment if you get your heart set on going and then find out you can't.
It may seem like we're not trying to help you but we really are. We love people that actually take the time to research before they move, it's just that some people just assume they can move so do things totally backwards and it wastes everyone's time.

Hey there. Been a silent 'viewer' of this site for a while. Just wondering if the OP or indeed the rest of the other members know how one can get info about studying for the AIMS exam for medical scientists?

I am new to the forum so please excuse some of my questions if they have already been dealt with elsewhere. I am looking to migrate to Oz as a biomedical (medical) scientist and have an exam to sit from the AIMS board. Anyone in this situation so we can share some tips about the 'multidisciplinary' professional exam? I am heamatology/transfusion/stem cells based.
