Default bikes

Hi Could anyone tell me are bikes expensive to buy in perth Australia?

We are thinking of shipping ours but just thought if they are the same price over there is it worth it ?

We only have basic family bikes nothing very expensive here so would only be looking to buy a basic bike over there too

thanks

Are you bringing a container of stuff over? If yes then just bung yours in there. If you're not bringing anything else then don't bother.

Like most things Oz will be dearer although you should be able to pick up a basic bike at either K-mart or Big W for a reasonable price. There are few specialised bike shops although their prices tend to be on the higher side.

You need to weigh up the cost of shipping (making sure they are spotless for customs) and how old they are remembering that if you buy in Oz it will be a new bike.

Also search on Gumtree perth as there are always a few bikes on there.

I'm going on a 457 and want to take my bike as the cost of replacing it is in excess of $3500.

Like other person said if you have a container bring them, just ensure you clean them and clean tyres with a jeyes fluid solution

Seriously bring them, we didn't and we regretted it. My husband got one off gumtree second hand for $50 almost new never used (lucky sod), most shops here want over $400 for a good branded mountain bike, places like Kmart do do bikes but there just your normal mountain bikes and there around $120 i think.
BRING THEM WITH YOU - AND WASH ALL THE DIRT OFF

If you've got a container go to the trouble of cleaning them and bring them over.

Lots of cheap rubbish bikes available and to be avoided.

Bike shops are good but you will pay for it.
