We have a logitech which works ok, but connect up our video camera which of course supplys a perfect picture that can zoom etc and also play footage that has been recorded, say footage of the grandkids back to the grandparents.

Most digital cameras will double as a web cam (check first!!) so if you are going to Oz and don't have a digital camera then if you buy one before you go it will be much easier to send photos back home etc and you can use it as a web cam. Digital cameras offer much better quality picture than the cheap web cams. Yes, they are more expensive but then you are also getting a camera. I thought about getting a web cam (only) but changed my mind after looking at the quality.
Hope that helps.

the ones bought in England should be programmed to take upside down images once you get to Australia.
