You realise that you'll still be responsible for the rent until it is re-rented?

We have to find someone for our place in Como too. Hopefully there'll be a tenant found before we move out in three weeks - husband is emailing everyone we know and asking them to put the word out. Hopefully the agent will start advertising now too.

Our agent just emailed and has someone interested in our rental, they're coming day after tomorrow. My husband asked her to start advertising asap and she already put it on realestate.com.au. I guess you should ask your agent if your place is up yet.

Reaches a smaller group but you can put the details in the classifieds on here and then click for the link to appear under your name. Lots of people on here obviously moving to that area - would be ideal for them.

Hello
Have you tried Gumtree - www.gumtree.com.au
They have loads and loads of adverts and its FREE! We have used it for renting a place, so this is well worth trying, just about everyone I know uses it for finding out info on places to rent or buy.
hope this helps

You should be right hopefully, ours was open for people to have a look yesterday and received notification that it's been released today. We move out on 19th and new tenants move in on 22nd.

Re: Best Place to Advertise when breaking your lease ?
Hi, I found this thread from searching through. We, too are breaking lease on a 12 month lease, and need to re-lease our place from 7th Nov, for just under 8 months until end June 2009. I have advertised on Gumtree and Perth Exchange, and the RE has been advertising as well. She brought through about 6 families in one viewing slot, which was great news, and we were hopeful. She called today to advise that despite 3 applications in, the landlord has declined all three as they all have pets. Can anyone recommend anywhere else to advertise please. Its in Darch, 15km NOR, very near sought after Primary school, and brand new Secondary opening in Jan 09. Need to find new tenants in 3 weeks, any advertising tips much appreciated.
