Question Best currency to use in while in the UK?

With the dollar being so strong at the moment, just cant figure out if when we go to the UK, to visit, if will be better off using UK sterling cash, that we have, or a Australian credit card and pay it when we get back in dollars?

Thanks

We have a Wizard Mastercard that has no overseas transaction fees and has an exchange rate similar to www.xe.com.

It is the only credit card we use overseas.

Got a Travel Money Card from the Commonwealth Bank yesterday and put GBP4000 in it while the rate is good and will add to it prior to departure in about five months. Can use at any ATM machine in UK..also available in Euros,US and Canadian dollars....Best not carry too much cash..

Either way, you'll be spending in sterling.

Use the sterling cash, if you can, not an Australian credit card. That way, you avoid paying transfer charges.

Travel card is definitely the way to go. Works like a visa debit card, you pay for it now and get the present exchange rate. Card is valid for 3 years so if the exchange rate drops drastically you still have your secured stirling at today's rate

Prob didn't explain it very well Go into the bank they'll tell you all about it.

Think you explained it well enough...Just like to add if going into a Euro Zone country one can also put Euros or US dollars for that matter on the same card.
Also there are two cards issues so if one is lost can continue to take money using secondary card.
By far the best way to go.
