being self employed?
If we go out using my hairdressing skills can my husband set up his own business straight away or do we need to live there for a certain time period?

Hi,
As far as I know, as I came out here on my husbands skilled visa, yes he can. We have permanent visas and I obtained my own ABN = Australian Business Number straight away. You may need to look into the issue of if he needs a license in his particular trade, but if you have Permanent visa's there should be no problem.
