Default before school care

Dont know if this has been asked before in brisbane do they have before and after school care like in the uk where kids can be droped of from 8am for breakfast and go to after school care untill around 6pm helps working parents very mutch.

Yep they certainly do. my sister works at one, although not in brisbane, slightly south. The kids get dropped off between 6 and 6.30, they are given breakfast, and then taken to school. some of them are dropped back at the care centre after school and are picked up by their parents at about 6.00.

This is an area we have been looking into as our oldest boy starts school in January.
To give you ab idea of cost it is around $12 before school and $13 after school per day, and about $30 per day vacation cover.
You can claim your child care benefit for this so unless you are on bucket loads of dollars you will get a discount.
