I think it's quite good for a laugh and made to put people OFF going to OZ.
Same old same old

Family want to move and there's always one kid who doesn't resulting in a big fight or obnoxious brat who mopes about.

The extended family don't want them to move and start crying to put them off and never ever say Yeh were really happy for them coz there's nothing in the S**T hole called the UK so go on kids go for it make a new life and the best of luck to you we'll support you all the way.

The houses are always too expensive and out of the budget just to P**S them off....ha ha this is what you could have won...like Bullseye

They always get the Job

etc etc

It would be far better if they covered all the issues mentioned on here about Med's, Visa's, costs of removals, and hgive people facts rather than a comedy show.

However anyone serious about emmigrating will hardly be sitting down Sky +ing all the shows to use as their sourse of research to emmigrate....or are there....

Haha!! I'm taping them as they give me something mindless to watch on a Saturday morning when there’s nothing on but cookery and cartoons. It is nice to see some of the cities and possibly where one is planning on relocating to. But I certainly wouldn’t be relying on the programme for a source of emigration information!!

I do think showing the families videos of all of their loved ones bawling and devastated is very unfair. Of course this has to be taken into consideration but it looks like they’re doing everything they can to put people off…maybe the show is sponsored by the UK government?!

And another thing they completely miss-out is schools. Who would consider an area without looking at schools? (appreciate this only affects families, but then the ones I've watched have all been families).

There is one good thing about this show, it is making me realise we want to go for all the RIGHT reasons
Some of these peoples negative points have amazed me, take yesterdays show for example, they looked at 3 houses and decided based on the fact that one smelt of dogs and one had orange tiles that ALL housing was naff!!:curse: and that was a reason to choose the UK think i am missing the point lol.

They all talk about 'all they do in the uk is work' do they think that they wont have to work in Oz? It's same old, same old!

Think some of them just fancy a free holiday

I'd have chosen the dog-smelling house you just have to buy a dog and you'll never notice the smell again!!! Or bulk orders of candles.

I think they should get the kids to sample a day at school. I did think it was really funny when the new zealand one the other day - they took the kids to see the school. The uniform was (in my opinion awful) all I saw was the skirts which were the size of tents! I'm not surprised they turned their noses up. Im not saying anything bad about the schools lol - just when you go from a country where kids are trying to get away with belts for skirts - to one where they are massive, I'm not surprised they were a bit shocked!

I've learnt an important lesson from the series . . ..

Get my kids loving the outdoors life now (and grin and bear the rain)

and move before they turn into teenagers!!!!

Absolutely...Modern man me.

Well killing time while leaving the Army prior to moving to Canada. I think I could be a house husband.

The show does at least give you a look around certain areas for people making the move to OZ just a pitty it was not more in depth or provided lots more info on the areas they choose. Like has been mentioned with schools etc.

Also the family

I mean what was that blokes job today (or did I miss it) when can he start working...did she get the job with the Police...did they make the move ???

Sky + on series link.

I'm hoping they make one on Canada.

I'd love to go on and say yeh stick the UK can't wait to move, Won't miss any of me family coz I left home at 17 as did my wife, nothing here for us at all, really looking forward to the move and fingers crossed if it all goes to plan won't even be back to visit.

cut cut get im orf

I'm not sure what the guy on today did for a living - but he was going to be a house husband.

They'll do a wanted down under revisited in a year or two - would bet money on it.

You have to be careful saying anything bad about the uk You'll get called disillusioned - after all its a paradise here!!!! LOL!

It always make me laugh when at the airport they say "It makes you realise how far from home you are" Errrrrrr, the fact you know beforehand you are going to be on a plane for the best part of day is a bit of a give away !

OOPS Sorry I know what you mean.

Especialy as we live in Winchester the number one location to live in the whole of the UK....

Must be because there was only 6 murders within a 3 mile radius that made it top the list.

What was interesting in todays show was the fact that the exact same crimes are just as comon in OZ as they are in UK...Drunkeness, drugs, assualt, Domestic violence, weekends more so as the cop said. Just as I was told about the big cities in Canada suffer the same. Its a shame really.
