Mullets are a type of hairstyle that was fashionable in the 80s. Long hair at the back, short & spikey at the front. The bloke had one, and it was probably the most memorable part of the program. I doubt NZ is THAT far behind UK fashion (although the Portugese over here think that dressing like 'the Fonz' is cool).
