BAYSIDE (help)
Please can anyone tell me anything about the bayside areas,
as we r coming over in august (1 month fact finding) and r checking out possible areas to live, we also like the look of the goldcoast .We have i child (joe 8) im a cook johns a brickie.
We dont like areas that r rural (i need neigbours cups of sugar and all that) and we dont really want to travel miles to the shops , wouldnt mind a beach nearish,or any kind of waterway.
enjoy socalising ,drinking(lots of drinking) like footy, well john does, supports bolton wanderers (well some ones got to)
anyway any info would be great .

Re: BAYSIDE (help)
Are you talking about my area ??
We are in Bayside, but its also just under 1 hr drive to Surfers in the Gold Coast.
A beach near me is 2 mins drive, and a large shopping centre also 2 minutes the other way. With an even bigger shopping area "Capalaba" about 15 mins away.

We've just put an offer in for a 3 bedroom house and have looked at many a property over the last few days.
They range from $270 000 to $500 000 for 3/4 bed.
The lower prices generally, don't have a pool.
Have a look at some real estate sites like
www.doustrealty.com.au
www.domain.com.au
www.realestate.au
There are many more, just try a search.
Good luck.
Will.
PS, Theres plenty of us here who like a little drink.

But inland a bit, in say Capalaba, you may pick up something for about $275K
Heres a link for some property in the area realestate.com.au
A pool could cost about $30k to have installed.

Yeah, followed them all over the place when in England, then I move here and they suddenly remember how to win.
Still, I've enjoyed staying up til 2/3 in the morning listening to it with a beer or two.
Heres to a Villa win today and fourth spot.
Oh and don't be sorry for knocking us out of the cup, JJs goal was good enough to win any semi-final.

I wouldn't necessarily say that Capabala was one of the better areas in the redlands to live, nor Alexandra hills. This is not just my opinion of driving around, but also those of local aussies who live in Well point and vic point
